The Adaptive Radiation project was a project we worked on last quarter in Biology. We were given the assignment of taking on the role of a hawaiian honey creeper or another species that adaptive radiation occurred in. I chose to talk about Australian marsupials and more specifically from the point of view of the Tasmanian Tiger. The Tasmanian Tiger is actually extinct and has been for over seventy years but I was able to talk about it and how it and other marsupials arrived and evolved to fill the many niches that had been empty in Australia thousands of years ago. This project mainly demonstrates our use of informational skills. We had to use variety of sources to learn about our creature in order to take on its role while writing about how and where it evolved from. We were encouraged to format it in a creative way they we hadn't tried before which allowed us to expand our knowledge of other possibilities. From this project I am most proud of my understanding of the subject and how I was able to present that on presentation day. I felt I was able to communicate everything clearly and I enjoyed it. What made this project difficult was the having to use a different format and it.
