Writing assignments are another part of the weekly assignments for my communications class. They accompany the weekly chapter readings and group discussions we have to do. For the assignments, we have to complete a prompt and a series of questions the teacher assigns based on the chapter we read. They are usually split into two parts. The first is the prompt section where we have to recognize and write about a situation we experienced related to the content of the chapter. The second part includes reflection questions and/or made-up situations where we would need to efficiently communicate. This assignment displays self-direction skills because it is entirely up to ourselves to complete and turn it in. We need to check the class site each week for instructions and conduct the different parts of the assignments on time and efficiently. We need to be able to manage our time well and turn it in because late work is not accepted. It was difficult at first, not procrastinating, but over time I was able to figure out a way to work more efficiently.
