Breakout rooms are a zoom function that is often used in my Sociology class. Sociology is a lecture type class, but as mentioned, we often go into break out rooms to discuss and review certain topics in groups. This uses interpersonal skills because the point of the rooms is to discuss the topics as well as our views with the other group members. During the breakout rooms, we'll often have to work as groups to create a Jamboard or come up with a group answer that we share with the rest of the class. It's been interesting and somewhat difficult figuring out how to communicate and interact well through the zoom classes with others. Thankfully over time, we've done a lot of different group activity's and I have been able to get used to them. This ability will definitely be helpful in the future as we still don't know what's going to happen with the COVID situation, and having experience working with others solely online could be valuable in the future job-wise.
